Blogger Crash Course
An Online Workshop For Women
This workshop is really all about making friends with technology, soothing those fears that suggest you are “estupido” (even though you may have a college degree) and helping you overcome the overwhelming desire to take a nap rather than figure out how to build a webpage, let alone a web site.
You are a smart, creative and ambitious women business owner. You need a website that you can create and update yourself so you don’t have to a hire professional web designer. Even better, is making your own changes going forward and saving money paying someone to do it for you because it just isn’t in the small-micro-business budget.
You might be just starting out with a web presence or you already have one and would just like to be doing better with it. Either way, you want to leverage the web to market and promote that cool thing you do. And also (or if you were doing better at it) possibly make money attracting new clients & business.
However, you frequently think that the gap between where you are now and where you want to be with your web presence is too wide to cross and that you need to know more than you do right now in order to get started. Worried that you’re missing out on reaching valuable new business and growing yourself using the web. Ugh!
But really all you need is a little support to realize that you are smarter than you think and with a little help with the technical how-to parts and what’s already in your heart, you can have a web presence that reflects that thing you love to do and even helps you do it better.
If you’d like to have your own web presence, but are terrified that you don’t have what it takes to make that happen, then you’re in the right place.
I help women business owners who have something important to give the world and need a web presence to do it with! I teach you to create and build your online web presence so you can market and promote the cool thing you do on the intertoobs. We take that huge gap and break it down into small steps and then I help you take them by showing you how. Step-by-step.
Since I also sell optimysm in pretty little 55-minute life coaching sessions, you get a lady with tech savvy brains wrapped up in a compassionate coach with jedi-like skills for taming various frustrations and fears of the unknown variety (like this is too complicated and I’m not cut out for this or stuff like that).
Together, in my 4 week online workshop, I help you find the words that go into your message, give you the technical training to get it published (and look nice) and help you create it in a fun and compassionate-for-you way. From discovering the root essential reasons you are in business and writing about that to pushing the publish button and putting it on the web, I help you get your act together (aka get your tech savvy on) for your business’s online web presence.
A Closer Look At This Live 4-Week Workshop Event
- Week 1 – Getting Your Core Values On
We’re going to start by playing with some technology. Don’t worry, you can’t break anything – I’ll be with you in real time and can help. The fun actually starts now, using very cool technology that allows you to watch your computer screen while I drive. While we’re getting comfortable with the fun, cool technology, we’ll be talking about your business core values and how that translates to what you’ll be doing in later weeks. Discovering your business values creates an authentic connection between you and your business and helps you make smarter business decisions. And when it comes time for you to make your web pages, it’ll be easier because you’ll already have a good idea of what to say.
- Week 2 – Getting Your Content On
As we ease into more of this technology stuff, we’ll continue working on your business where I’ll help you get clear on who your perfect people are and how to write about that in a way that builds connection… you know “the voice” part. This is the week where we’ll look at previously-scarifying topics such as “Niching, Ideal Clients, and USPs” (what the heck’s a USP?) except now it’s not so scarifying because you are clear about your business values. Not only is everything a little easier because you know your business values, we’ll be doing a live exercise in class to help you create your very first post or page… essentially turning your “Open For Business” sign on! And finally, we’ll talk about five other topics that will turn into your first five posts or critical content pages.
- Week 3 – Getting Your Blogger On
By week three, your confidence will be in a completely different place because we’ve spent some time creating your content which reflects you, your voice, and your life-preserving core business values. With my help we’ll walk through the 3-step process to create your Blogger account. We’ll learn how to create and edit content on your new website. Every little last bit will be recorded (audio & video) and available for you to review as often as you’d like. By the end of this session, you’ll have the tools & skills to create your first post and the five critical content pages you’ve already written too.
- Week 4 – Getting More Of Your Blogger On
More cool technology. More showing you how to do it. More recording it so you have it to watch over and over again. This week we’ll continue discovering Blogger by learning how to layout parts of your webpage using Blogger’s drag-and-drop layout tool. I’ll show you how to build navigation between all those cool pages you created last week. No you don’t need to know HTML (but I will offer you a few tricks). No you don’t need to have any other programming skill in order to do this part. Cut and paste is as hard as it gets. I’ll help you decide exactly what goes where or at least help you think about what will work best for you. Then you get to go out and practice on your own website or blog, feeling absolutely thrilled about that fact that *you* are actually doing it, you have created your own web presence and have the tools and skills to be in charge of it!
Who *IS* This Crazy Tech-Savvy Babe?
Hey! Hi. I’m Mynde, with a Y. I help women get their tech savvy on. I’ll be bringing to the table (via your telephone and computer screen) a lot of nurturing compassionate fun-making blended with a bunch of you-can-really-do-this hand holding. Essentially, a coach for helping you deal with your fear stuff and a techie for the how-to-do-it stuff.
Now seems like a good time to mention what a few other happy tech-savvy babes have said about past workshops:
Lisa Morrison, Coach & Organizing Professional“Well I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the guidance I received during this workshop. I have gotten much more clear on what I’m doing and who I want to do it with, and my web presence has taken on a new shape from when I first began. What a gift you have given me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Lee Miller, The Flourishing Woman“Mynde is a brilliant tech savvy coach, but she’s so much more–she is an intuitive and compassionate coach also. I learned the tech stuff around Blogger and I definitely had my tech boldness on. But there was one thing holding me back–me! Mynde is especially skilled at listening. She helped me kick butt on some serious fear issues around the content of my blog. She was a tremendous encourager and really helped me go to the edge of my perfectionism and procrastination and jump off! I did and I am forever grateful that Mynde sees deeper, listens deeper, supports deeper and cares deeper. She doesn’t just give a workshop, she gives you a whole new way of bringing your “A” game to the table!”

What You’ll Need
So, what do you need in order to take this workshop? A phone. A computer connected to the internet (preferably Broadband/Cable/DSL or said another way, dial-up will suck). Something to write with and on, perhaps for some notes, your cup’o tea, fuzzy slippers, bras, pants, etc. are all optional.
If you have specific questions, I’d love for you to email me at Mynde [at] MyndeMayfield [dot] com so I can answer them. But just so you know, there is a list of already answered questions a little bit further down the page (I know it’s already a long one) but you might want to check out some more important stuff about the workshop first…
