Tom Stone

Last week, I shared about changes I’m personally making in me. Enormous internal ones and how those internal shifts create experiences in my external world.

I shared specifically, about how I have a sore spot, my belief in my own inferiority, and how it was activated during a mobile notary tale. I talked about how my new awareness of the inferiority is showing up, my desire to practice changing it and how that manifested for me.

I have this habit. I used to not even see it. Now I see it, but at the same time, still see myself doing it and wonder if I will ever stop. Or what thought I might have that finally releases me from this habit’s grip.

I remember Tom Stone saying something like 80% of our sensory perception is affected by sight. I really notice this when I sit quietly and close my eyes. How I sense and what I’m aware of is inner directed instead of being stimulated by what my eyes are constantly taking in and processing.

A Time For Letting Go

November 4, 2009

I’ve noticed recently in my life and the lives of several clients, a recurrence of the theme of resisting feeling the uncomfortable stuff. For myself, the yearly passage of the Sun through the sign of Scorpio (end of October and most of November) often stirs a great depth and intensity of emotions that usually lie very low throughout the year. I often forget they are there.

Yet one of Scorpio’s primary functions is to bring forward what lay at the depth of us. And because it is a water sign, emotions are linked into this transformative process of death and renewal, reflected by the falling leaves that were only a few short months ago, thriving and nourishing its life support system. Now they surrender themselves, falling away from that comfortable place of attachment, to be crumbled to bits or strewn and scattered like ash in the wind.

Fast Pass To The Vortex

September 24, 2009

Letting go and surrendering any need for a challenge to change and be different so we can be more comfortable with it.

After only a few days of practicing the G.A.P. on a regular basis, I’ve noticed some interesting changes in not only my experience of the G.A.P. itself, but also in how I am showing up differently in my life, even when I am not focused on the G.A.P itself.

If you are not familiar with Tom Stone’s powerful Pure Awareness technique called the G.A.P, you can find it in my last post. It’s a very short (less than 15 minutes) audio where Tom actually takes you to the G.A.P. so you can experience it for yourself.

What Are You Asking For?

September 17, 2009

There is a universal force; call it Love, The Law of Attraction, or God, which is always eaves dropping on you. So what are you asking for?

At some point during this year, I made a commitment to myself to dig more deeply into understanding the Law of Attraction after reading Ask & It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

I discovered Michael Losier while listening to Oprah & Friends and gobbled up his little book, Law of Attraction, in one sitting. I really appreciated the simplicity and practicality of his approach to explaining concepts that the movie The Secret offered as easy & effortless to apply.
