Beginning today, Mercury, the ruler of communication, commerce and basically your normal day-to-day activities, will appear to begin moving backward in the sky, continuing to do so until December 13th.
It is the universe’s “time-out” for all of us. Hall passes do not exist here.
Except if you were born when Mercury was retrograde. Then this “curse” becomes a keen superpower from practicing living and operating as-if Mercury was retrograde throughout your entire lifetime, rendering one immune to Mercury’s influences during its retrograde cycles.
Mercury retrogrades for three-week durations (really 5 ½ weeks if you count the Shadow Period). This happens at least three times and sometimes up to four times, each and every year.
You know what an extension is… you might not think you know, but you do.
A browser extension is a way of extending the functionality of your web browser by downloading a special tool that helps make your digital life a bit easier (yay, easy!)
These handy-dandies below are a few that I just cannot live without. They get Easy awards. And my appreciation and thanks so that more easy flows my way!
Xmarks – Sync and backup your browser bookmarks
I use bookmarks incessantly for ease in my digital life. The two biggest ways Xmarks has helped me in the past is when I got a new computer and when I switched the primary browser I use.

Yesterday, I experienced another one of those moments, where I realize (again), that I get really great ideas when I take showers.
I sat at my desk working. Not wanting to stop. Because that’s who I am sometimes. I really do love my work. I love being captivated with my own passion. Working on and in my business fills me to the brim with passion.
I knew a break would be good for me. It’s good to break up large segments where I’m creatively flowing my energy outward and into a project or situation. Every time I do it, I realize I make space for really great ideas to pop in. They can be random ideas, but they are always the kind of ideas that I feel inspired to act on right away (more passion).
So you’ve created (well really, you and I created) this nice new place on the web, that’s all you. Your brilliance. Your thing. For sale. And most likely for free, are your thoughts, expressed in the form of writing. All hanging out there naked. For other people to read. And sometimes react or respond to (comments, emails).
It can be a lil nerve-wracking. In the beginning. And getting over and around your pressing-publish-button fears can be a very necessary distraction. You’ve got to see if you can do this. If you can bare your soul to win your ultimate freedom… getting paid to do what you love!
Attention Frequent Flyers!
Mercury has officially entered it’s regularly scheduled “out of phase” cycle of moondancing backwards in the sky (or at least it looks like that) otherwise known as Mercury Retrograde.
It’s time for re-doing everything and basically no initiating what-so-ever (consider yourself warned) nor barely a hint of forward movement on the irons in your campfire.
I dread Mercury retrograde the most for all its technical snafus and basic overall “STOPNESS” he hurls at my life during this three week period (April 18 thru May 11).
Communications of every kind are subject to general snarlification. Details details details. Watch them. Pay closer than usual attention to them. And watch your backend as unfinished ones will sneak up and bite!
Gmail helps me corral my email into one place so I (hopefully) never miss it when you send me something.
Last time I talked about email accounts, only it was all about using the free email account you got when/if you’re using Godaddy to purchase & manage your domain name (what’s that?).
Why I Love Gmail
There are many, many other things that make Gmail cool other than these two things I’m about to mention that make Gmail really cool for me.
Retrograde means “backwards movement.”
The Earth has an orbit around the Sun. So does Mercury. Because it is the closest planet to the Sun, it’s orbit is much shorter/smaller compared to the Earth’s orbit.
About three (sometimes four) times each year, Mercury, goes whizzing by Earth.
To an observer standing on Mars, Earth appears to be moving ‘backward’. Mercury is surging ahead and Earth is left behind. This is ‘retrograde motion’.
