My name is Mynde. I’m a Notary Public in the Yorba Linda/Placentia/Brea area. If you’re here reading this, you probably need something notarized.
How much will it cost?
Each notarized signature will cost $10.
If your document requires multiple signatures, it will cost an additional $10 per signer. For example, if there are two signers on a single document, it will cost $20.
Plus, depending on your location, there’s a minimum travel fee of $10 (Yorba Linda, Placentia, Brea areas). If I’m required to travel beyond these areas, please call me for a quote.
Example:
- Two signers on five notarized documents in Placentia = $110 or
- One signer on one notarized document in Brea = $20
Where can you meet me to perform the notarization?
Most often, I visit private homes and/or a work location. I also perform a lot of notarizations in public places such as Starbuck’s or Denny’s. When we confirm your notary appointment, we’ll discuss the specifics. I do NOT take notary appointments at my home for privacy and security reasons. If you found me on Google, the address I used is the Placentia Police Department, not my home or office address.
Why didn’t you answer my phone call immediately?
Well, I run several other businesses from my home. I’m a life coach and do most of my personal coaching sessions over the phone. I also help other coaches, writers and healers create their own web presence, like the one you are reading right now. Again, I’m frequently on the phone with my clients so I may not be able to take your call immediately.
If you’d like to get something notarized, the best thing to do is leave a message with your call back specifics including the day & time that works best for you. I’ll return your call ASAP to confirm your notary appointment with me and the details.
Same day appointments are possible with no extra “rush” costs. It’s just a matter of my own availability because I also perform notary signings for a mortgage broker who keeps me very busy driving all around Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and sometimes San Diego counties.

Other Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does a notary do?
What a Notary isn’t…
A Notary does not explain legal documents to signers (talk to an attorney for that).
A Notary does not need to understand the legal document being notarized.
What a Notary does…
A Notary’s primary function is to authenticate the execution of certain documents. Which basically means, a Notary will take certain personal identifying information (such as a Driver’s License or Passport) to validate that the person signing a document is who they say they are and witness the document signing process.
When a Notary performs an affirmation of identity, a document called an acknowledgment, with specific legal wording and a notarial stamp is provided by the Notary (or sometimes as part of the mortgage documents provided to a borrower by a lender.)
A Notary may also administer an oath to a signer who presents a document as “true & correct to the best of the signer’s knowledge.” Again, a Notary does not bear the burden of having to understand what is contained in the document or if it is in fact, accurate and true. Only to perform the oath asking the signer to swear to it’s accuracy and validity.
When a Notary performs an oath, a jurat is provided with the notarial stamp which is affixed to the original document as proof that the signer swore to the accuracy of the contents of the document.
