Best of ’09 – Night Out

December 6, 2009

Best of ’09 is a series of posts inspired by Gwen Bell’s The Best of 09 Blog Challenge. It’s a challenge designed to help me write more and rediscover more grateful moments in my 2009! Hopefully, 31 posts in 31 days ;)

Did you have a night out with friends or a loved one that rocked your world? Who was there? What was the highlight of the night?

This prompt was challenging. It also landed on a Saturday. So curious to me, how the pace of life dramatically changes on the weekends.

Anyway, I asked my girlfriend Andrea, “What did we do?” She unknowingly also joined Gwen’s challenge when I did ::: grins :::

We talk about these topics often.

We’ve been chatting and neither of us could come up with that special “Night Out” event we had that rocked our worlds.

“Is that sad?” we asked each other. “Or depressing?” I thought.

And in reviewing the year, I kinda realized that, again, we had lots of really great night’s out.

There was L.A. for my 40th birthday at O Bar in West Hollywood. Calamari and martinis. Several other friends-also-turning-40 birthday parties were celebrated this year too.

We have frequent “night’s out” on Tuesdays usually. Down the street at Esther’s Taco House. Taco Tuesdays. My daughter and I love the chicken tacos. Also we “night out” on Friday’s too. Frequently seen at happy hour having margaritas.

And we’ve had many “night’s out” away, hanging out with friends.

We realized we did no dancing out this year. However we did do a LOT of dancing in. Dancing helps everything.

So I guess my #best09 Night Out post is really about dancing out more next year! And to continue making every night out, a Best Night Out occasion.
